Established by the Kalihi Palama Culture & Arts Society to honor Hawaiʻi’s last reigning monarch,
the Queen Liliʻuokalani Keiki Hula Competition has showcased the talent of keiki for more than forty years.
Traveling from near and far, talented keiki participate in perpetuating the hula.
With each movement, chant and song, an important historical practice is kept alive.

Keiki celebrate their love for hula through traditional kahiko and contemporary ʻauana.
